This humble 200m² suburban project began in 2019 with three hugelkultur-inspired beds and a simple desire to grow food naturally. It began on rocky, compacted clay soil as a space for annuals, which soon transformed into a dynamic expression in regeneration—gradually evolving into a young food forest, deeply rooted in syntropic agroforestry principles.

June 2023 was our first truckload of woodchips that blanketed the pathways, inviting microbial life and jump-starting the soil ecosystem. Over the next year and a half, five more truckloads followed, layering fertility—unlocking the land’s potential. Today, with enough biomass generated onsite, we’re transitioning from accumulation to abundance—rapidly.

What started as a simple backyard garden has become a living classroom—a space where soil, plants, and people co-evolve. This shared journey reveals how nature’s quiet transformation is rooted in the interdependence of all living beings.

As we nurture the land, we deepen our connection to each other and the world around us.
